About FixturFab

FixturFab is a software design platform that uses generative Computer-Aided Design (CAD) technologies to automate the design process of PCBA Functional Test Fixtures. Customers upload their electrical design files and use our website to create test fixtures. Our vision is to modernize hardware testing and we have multiple new products planned to help us achieve this.

We're a small startup team with a single-digit number of full-time employees and a handful of manufacturing contractors. We are looking for a new team member to help us manufacture, assemble, and deliver the growing demand for our test systems.

We are currently hiring for this position at our workshop in Seattle.

Responsibilities

As a member of our Fabrication team, you will be responsible for manufacturing and assembling robust and reliable PCBA Functional Test Fixtures. You'll help machine, build, and ship various test fixtures according to the specific needs of each customer.

• Manufacture custom parts for test systems using Laser Cutters, 3D Printers, and CNC Mills
• Build mechanical test fixtures and instrumentation racks
• Assemble circuit boards and wire harnesses
• Work directly with the founders to improve engineering and manufacturing processes

Qualifications

Ideally, you have a combination of the following experiences. We're flexible though!

• Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical engineering documents
• Have a strong attention to detail and ability to deliver in a face-paced environment
• Ability to solder through-hole and surface mount components
• A self-starter with the ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision
• Strong mechanical and electrical problem-solving skills.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds

Nice to have

• Experience using rapid prototyping tools like Laser Cutters, 3D Printers, or CNC Mills
