About FixturFab

FixturFab is a software design platform that uses generative Computer-Aided Design (CAD) technologies to automate the design process of PCBA Functional Test Fixtures. Customers upload their PCB design files and use our website to create test fixtures. Our vision is to modernize hardware testing and we have multiple new products planned to help us achieve this.

We're a small startup team with a single-digit number of full-time employees and a handful of manufacturing contractors. We are looking for a new team member to help us grow our Application Engineering team and help us deliver on the growing demand for our test systems.

We are currently hiring for this position at our workshop in Seattle.

Responsibilities

As a member of our Application Engineering team, you will be responsible for enabling our customers to create robust and reliable PCBA Functional Test Fixtures. You'll help architect, build, and deploy various test fixtures according to the specific needs of each customer.

• Work directly with customers to develop test system requirements and proposals
• Architect automated electronic test systems using both off-the-shelf and custom hardware to meet the test system requirements
• Design, prototype, and build mechanical bed-of-nails test fixtures using the FixturFab Design Platform, Laser Cutters, 3D Printers, and CNC mills
• Develop automated test suites using Python
• Work directly with the founders to improve engineering and manufacturing processes

Qualifications

Ideally, you have a combination of the following experiences. We're flexible though!

• You have brought a test fixture design from concept through production
• You have experience designing test fixtures for high-volume (100k+ units) manufacturing
• You have defined and proposed complex projects and then executed the plan
• You are proficient in an electronics design package, like Kicad or Altium

Nice to have

• You have used Python to create hardware test scripts
• Experience using rapid prototyping tools like Laser Cutters, 3D Printers, or CNC Mills
